Dhaka, March 22: A case has been filed under the Digital Security Act accusing 25 people, including BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, of calling Ziaur Rahman the first president and proclaimer of independence. Moinul Haque, a UK expatriate, filed the case in the Judicial Magistrate Sadar Zone Court's Kudrat-e-Elahi court on Monday (March 22nd) at noon.

Akhtaruzzaman Selim, counsel for the plaintiffs in the case, said the court had directed the Sunamganj Sadar Model Police Station to take legal action after investigating the case. The case was filed by Moinul Islam, a resident of Raikhail village under Moglabazar police station in Sylhet. He is the son of late Abdus Shahid of Raikhail village. However, Moinul Islam is also a citizen of the United Kingdom.

According to the case, Tareq Rahman and other accused have been carrying out propaganda through digital media and sending, publishing and disseminating offensive false information on various websites and digital media. Insulted.

The case alleges that Tareq Rahman and other accused insulted, humiliated and belittled Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Tareq Rahman has spoken on his YouTube channel claiming that his father Jiwar Rahman is the first President of Bangladesh and the proclaimer of independence. All the other accused including Tareq Rahman have committed these misdeeds and crimes in collusion.

According to the plaintiff in the case, while waiting in front of Tegharia Hasan Raja Museum in Sunamganj on December 19 last year and January 21 this year, he saw the propaganda of these crimes on Tareq Rahman's YouTube channel. There has been a delay in filing the case as time has elapsed to collect various information.
