Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Nov 3: Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal does not want to comment on Khaleda Zia.

In response to a question from journalists whether Khaleda Zia is legally bound to participate in the election, he said, "We do not want to comment on that. We don't know anything about that yet."

The Chief Election Commissioner visited the local government election monitoring cell on Wednesday (November 2) afternoon. At this time, journalists asked him various questions. Qazi Habibul Awal said in response to the questions of the journalists, we will look at her legally. We have some legal framework. You have to fit into those metrics if you want to stand out. What will be the position from that side, we do not know yet. We do not want to comment on this. It will be seen after submitting the nomination paper. We have said that we will check it legally.

The CEC said, "We have not seen any such scene of violence, disorder or vote-stealing or rigging in today's elections. I have not received any such complaint. We have monitored the polls of four municipalities here through CC cameras."

When he brought up the issue of Munshiganj incident, he said that it is quite far from the center. What it is, we don't know. We did not find any disorder in our polling centers and polling areas. A large number of people stood up, they voted in an orderly manner. It seems to me that it is a culture that voters have stood and voted with restraint, with patience. This is a good sign. If they can be retained, they can be encouraged in the future, they will go to vote. There is a voting environment. This is our purpose.

CEC said, "We will also monitor the polling of Faridpur-2 seat. I received Gaibandha's report two days ago. We could not sit with it. So I can't say anything yet. It must be seen separately. We have to discuss this among ourselves later. Then I can tell everyone."
