CEC Awal CEC Awal visits commissioners' office
Dhaka, March 1: The new Election Commission (EC) headed by Kazi Habibul Awal will conduct the election activities of the country for the next five years. The commissioners have been working in the Election Commission since Monday after taking oath on Sunday. On the second day of his tenure, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) visited the offices of four new EC commissioners and secretaries.
On Tuesday (March 1) at 3:00 pm, the CEC first went to the room of EC Secretary Md. Humayun Kabir Khandaker on the fourth floor. The CEC then went to the office of Election Commissioner Rasheda Sultana in room 402 on the fifth floor, Md. Alamgir's office in room 403, Brigadier General Ahsan Habib Khan's office in room 401 and Anisur Rahman's office in room 404. During this time he visited their office.
Earlier in the morning, the commissioners including CEC laid wreaths at the National Memorial. Election commissioners including CEC held office in the commission for the first time on Monday.
At that time, the EC officials greeted them warmly. After the exchange of views with the EC officials, the new election commissioners confronted the media.
