Dhaka, February 21: Leader of the same organization Benazir Hossain Nishi has been accused of killing a BCL leader while he was going to lay flowers at the central Shaheed Minar. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday (February 21) at the central Shaheed Minar. However, Benazir Hossain Nishi has denied the allegation.

The accused Nishi is the joint general secretary of the central committee of Chhatra League. Injured Md. Ehsanul Haque Yasir, former relief and disaster management secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Chhatra League. At present he is aspiring for the top post of Salimullah University College Chhatra League.

Yasir told Jago News, "On the way there, we were pushed back. Suddenly Benazir Hossain Nishi came and started hitting my head randomly with her mobile. I got hurt and and blood oozed out. Acquaintances who were with me immediately took me to Dhaka Medical College. Treatment was given there. I got three to four stitches. I am receiving treatment at home now and is having trouble speaking. I am demanding justice for this incident."

However, Benazir Hossain Nishi has denied the allegation of beating Yasir.

She told Jago News, "I did not have any dispute with anyone at the Shaheed Minar. False accusations are being made in my name. I just know some people were molesting some female students who went to the Shaheed Minar to give flowers."

Mazharul Islam Shamim, vice-president of the central committee of the BCL, said, “If any central leader of the BCL commits a crime, the meeting of the central parliament can take organizational action against her. But the person involved in the bloody incident by beating the BCL leader at Shaheed Minar had earlier beaten another female leader. If action had been taken against him earlier, this incident would not have happened today. As she was close to the general secretary of Chhatra League, no organizational action was taken against her."
