China-Bangladesh bilateral talks held

In the meeting, Wang praised the socio-economic progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The two sides discussed bilateral, regional and global issues and expressed hope to elevate bilateral relations between Dhaka and Beijing to a new level.

Alam said the Chinese Foreign Minister informed about China's position on the existing Taiwan issue and appreciated Bangladesh's position on the "One China" policy.
Regarding the Rohingya crisis, Wang reiterated his country's commitment to do its utmost to find a solution to begin the repatriation of displaced Rohingyas from Bangladesh to Myanmar. Wang also met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina before leaving Dhaka at noon.

When the Chinese Foreign Minister arrived here last afternoon, Agriculture Minister and Awami League presidium member Muhammad Abdur Razzaq welcomed him at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Wang visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 on Saturday evening and paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Shahriar Alam received the Chinese Foreign Minister at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.
