Gazipur Chinese citizen burnt in Gazipur factory boiler explosion
Dhaka, Feb 29: A Chinese citizen named Lu Yang (42) was burnt in a boiler explosion in a company named Intelligent Card Limited in Gazipur's Dhirashram.
He has been admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Doctors said that his condition is critical.
This incident happened on Wednesday around 1.30 pm. Later he was taken to the emergency department of the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 4 pm. He is undergoing treatment there.
Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery resident doctor Md. Tariqul Islam said that a Chinese citizen came from Gazipur due to boiler explosion. His body and throat were burnt in different places. Fifty percent burnt, his condition is critical.
Md. Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy assistant director of fire service, said that a lamination machine exploded in the factory around 1:15 pm. The explosion caught fire in the factory. One person was killed and six others were injured.
