Rape and Murder Chittagong: Five-year-old murdered after rape, four arrested
Dhaka, June 28: Police have nabbed four people over the alleged rape and murder of a 5-year old girl in Chittagong, reports said.
The incident took place in Chandgaon police station area of Chittagong on Sunday.
According to locals, the girl's mother- a factory worker- rushed to her home upon hearing the news that her daughter was missing.
Reports said the mother found the blood-stained body of her daughter lying under the bed of her own home.
According to the officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandgaon police station, the body has been recovered and samples have been collected by CID officials.
Initial observation from CID officials hinted at strangulation.
