Bangladesh Accident Chittagong road accident kills one motorcycle rider
A motorcyclist named Tariqul Alam, 26, was killed when a car van collided with a truck on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway in Patia. Two others injured in the incident have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital.
The accident took place at midnight on Saturday (October 25) in Vaiya Dighi area of Patiya.
The deceased was identified as Tariqul Alam, son of Nurul Alam of Gobindrakhil Taltola area of Patia municipality.
Sirajul Islam, in-charge (inspector) of Patia Highway police outpost, said Tariqul and two others were coming towards Patia on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway. All three were seriously injured when a Cox's Bazar-bound van hit the motorcycle. After rescuing them, they were taken to Patia Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared Tariqul dead.
The other two injured have been admitted to Chamek Hospital, the police official said.
