Dhaka, March 11: The police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has yet to find the epicenter of the explosion in Siddique Bazar of Gulistan in the capital. The Crime Scene Unit of CID has collected several evidence from outside and inside the building to find the origin of the explosion.

According to CID sources, the damaged building is now very dangerous. The beige beams and pillars of the basement at the front of the building were severely damaged. The ground floor of the building collapsed due to the explosion. The crime scene unit of the police's CID is searching for the exact place where the explosion started in the basement of the building. But the investigation has not yet found the origin of the explosion.

CID Crime Scene Unit Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md. Mizanur Rahman gave this information after inspecting the scene and collecting evidence on Friday (March 10) morning.

He said, "We are working to collect evidence to find out from where the explosion happened in the building. Searching for smoke or other signs of where the building was hit the most by the blast."

Md. Mizanur Rahman said, we have swept some parts of the building. It has been seen that the grill of the building is moving. Along with that, the wall was also seen moving. Evidence has also been taken to find out whether there is still any explosive material or methane gas at the scene.

This CID official said that the evidence collected will be sent to the lab for testing. They will be checked as per the rules. Later experts can give details. But we are still unable to go to the place where the explosion originally started.

Last Tuesday around 4:50 pm, a massive explosion occurred in a seven-storey building in Gulistan's Siddique Bazar. So far 23 people have been reported killed in this incident. Hundreds of people were injured.
