However, meteorologists said that for the time being, there is no danger of increasing the intensity of winter and widening of cold wave. According to them, the cold wave may end in the next two to three days. At the same time, in the beginning of February, that is, in the last week of the month of Magh, there may be rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, if the temperature is between eight to 10 degrees Celsius, it is called mild cold wave, if it is between six and eight degrees, it is called moderate cold wave. And when the temperature drops below six degrees Celsius, it is called severe cold wave.

The minimum temperature at Rajarhat in Kurigram in the northern district of the country was recorded at 6.1 degrees Celsius on the day (Friday) when the cold spell started. This was the lowest temperature in the country this winter.

However, the minimum temperature rose slightly on Saturday. In the morning, the lowest temperature of the country was recorded in Tentulia and Rajarhat. The temperature in these two places was seven degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Dhaka on Saturday morning was 12.6 degrees, which was 13 degrees Celsius on Friday.
