Coronavirus Coronavirus: Five die, country records 1,897 fresh cases in the last 24 hours
Dhaka, July 1: Bangladesh reported five coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, between Thursday and Friday, taking the national death toll from the disease to 29,154.
During this time, 1,897 people tested Covid positive. The caseload has swelled to 19,75,682.
According to the DGHS, 880 private and government laboratories collected and tested 12,403 and 12,389 samples respectively.
The detection rate in the last 24 hours was 15.31 percent, while the overall rate stands at 13.76 percent.
So far, Bangladesh has tested a total of 1,43,60,374 samples.
Meanwhile, the recovery toll has increased to 19,07,757, after another 248 people recovered in the last 24 hours.
