Covid-19 Coronavirus kills 17 people in one day, 978 new patients identified
Dhaka, January 6: In the last one day, 17 more people have died due to coronavirus infection in the country while 978 new patients have been identified, according to an offical press release.
It said that the total number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has increased to 5,18,898 people.
The total number of deaths due to coronavirus in the country has risen to 7,687.
According to the Department of Health, 1,021 more patients have been cured in the last one day. So far, the total number of recoveries has increased to 4,63,480.
Among the 17 deaths in the last 24 hours, nine were residents of Dhaka division, two each from Chittagong, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and one each from Khulna and Mymensingh divisions.
Of the 7,687 people who have died in the country so far, 5,846 are men and 1,841 are women.
