Coronavirus Coronavirus: One death, 239 positive cases across Bangladesh on Tuesday
Dhaka, August 9: Bangladesh reported one coronavirus death between Monday and Tuesday, taking the toll to 29,308.
During this time, 239 people tested positive for the virus. The caseload has increased to 20,07,870.
The daily detection rate stands at 4.34 percent.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 5,487 samples were collected and 5,504 samples were tested across 880 private and government laboratories in the country.
Bangladesh has, so far, tested a total of 1,46,55,378 Covid samples.
The country's overall detection rate stands at 13.70 percent.
Meanwhile, 489 people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. A total of 19,49,154 people have recovered from the viral disease in Bangladesh.
