Coronavirus Coronavirus: One death, 259 new cases in last 24 hours across Bangladesh
Dhaka, August 15: Bangladesh reported one death from the deadly Covid disease, as the country's fatality toll rose to 29,314.
During this time, 259 people tested positive for the virus, taking the caseload to 20,09,129.
According to the DGHS, 6,355 samples were collected and 6,335 were tested across 880 private and government laboratories in the country.
The daily detection rate was 4.09 percent, while the overall rate of detection stands at 13.68 percent.
Bangladesh has, so far, tested a total of 1,46,83,576 samples. A total of 96,72,057 samples have been tested at government laboratories and 50,11,519 samples have been tested at private facilities.
Meanwhile, 415 people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery total to 19,51,737.
