Coronavirus: One succumbs to virus, 435 new cases reported across Bangladesh on Wednesday

Dhaka, September 14: One person has died and 402 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in the 24 hours from Tuesday 8 am to Wednesday 8 am. The death toll has increased to 29,336, while the caseload has swelled to 20,16,145.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the daily detection rate was 8.41 percent.

Meanwhile, 19,59,484 people have recovered from the disease, so far, in Bangladesh.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, 4,816 samples were collected and 4,781 samples were tested across the country. A total of 1,48,08,318 samples have been tested in Bangladesh so far.

The overall detection rate in the country stands at 13.61 percent, the recovery rate at 97.19 percent and death rate at 1.46 percent.

The DGHS reported that the deceased was a male resident of Barisal.
