Coronavirus: Three deaths, 2,087 new cases registered in Bangladesh in last 24 hours

Dhaka, June 28: Bangladesh reported another 2,087 new coronavirus cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours, between Monday and Tuesday.

The caseload and death toll have increased to 19,69,361 and 29,145, respectively.

The daily infection rate stood at 15.47 percent.

According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 13,184 samples were collected and 13,489 were tested across 880 government and private laboratories, in the country, between Monday and Tuesday.

The overall detection rate stands at 13.75 percent.

Among those infected, 1,795 are residents of Dhaka metropolitan and district. Narayanganj reported 47 cases, Gazipur 15, Narsingdi 14, Faridpur six, Kishoreganj four, Manikganj, five, Rajbari two, Shariatpur three, Tangail two.

Mymensingh division reported 15 cases, Chittagong 112, Rajshahi 11, Rangpur eight, Khulna 21, Barisal 21 and Sylhet six.

Meanwhile, the recovery toll increased to 19,07,067 after another 200 people recovered in the last 24 hours.
