Dhaka, January 18: The first shipment of Serum vaccine will arrive in the country in between January 25 and January 26. The vaccination will start a week later. About 300 vaccination centers and 42,000 staff have been trained in Dhaka to provide the vaccine. Health Minister Zahid Maleque said this.

He said the second wave of epidemic coronavirus infections has come under control. New infection and mortality figures suggest that. The minister was speaking at the Meet the Reporters event at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity on Monday (January 18th).

He added that the World Health Organization has sent a letter praising Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for successfully controlling corona in the country. He hopes to do well in vaccination programs to prevent coronary infections.

"We only had one corona test lab, now 200 labs have been set up," he added. There was a PPE crisis due to the global lockdown. We are currently exporting PPE. Since everything is unknown, the Corona medical procedure has been changed in seven steps on the advice of the World Health Organization. In the beginning we had some shortcomings but there was no mismanagement. But privately there have been some irregularities. Legal action has been taken against them.

"We are arranging corona test for those who are going abroad," he said. Millions of people have availed medical facilities through telemedicine. This is a successful activity for us. The development of the health sector in Corona has not stopped.

He said that although the examinations of the country have been postponed, all the examinations of the medical college are still going on. This year's medical admission test will be held in April. At present, 80 percent of the general beds and 60 percent of the ICUs in the hospital are empty. 2,000 Corona patients and 200 are undergoing treatment in ICUs across the country.
