Dhaka, June 1: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that there was a lot of pressure inside and outside the country to implement the Padma Bridge project. The Padma Bridge project has been implemented because the people were by their side and they were blessed.

The Prime Minister made the remarks at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) at the NEC conference room in Agargaon on Wednesday (June 1). After more than two years, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the physical ECNEC meeting.

At a press conference after the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan highlighted the Prime Minister's directives and said that the Padma Bridge project was finally implemented. The Prime Minister has openly shared the various struggles and pressures in the implementation of this project at the ECNEC meeting. The people and their blessings were by their side. The Prime Minister said there were many adversities inside and outside the country.

The Prime Minister said, "We have been able to do that."

Mannan said she was overjoyed with it. The Padma Bridge is one of the great achievements of the Prime Minister.

He said that everyone has to pay the remaining electricity bill. "If you don't pay, you have to cut the power line. Electricity bills have to be paid by everyone, public and private. Everyone must pay the bill," the minister said.

Every land port needs to be upgraded. The Prime Minister asked to set up modern facilities and systems in the land ports. We have to look at various aspects in the sustainable development of rural roads. The Prime Minister also said that new roads need to be constructed.
