Coronavirus Country reports one death, 874 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday
Dhaka, June 21: In the last 24 hours, between Monday and Tuesday, Bangladesh recorded one death and 874 new coronavirus cases.
The death toll and caseload have increased to 29,133 and 19,58,074 respectively.
The daily detection rate jumped to 11.03 percent, which is the highest in the last four months.
Among those newly infected, 790 were from Dhaka division. The deceased, a Dhaka resident, was aged between 71 and 80 years.
According to the DGHS, 7,893 samples were collected and 9,927 were tested in the last 24 hours.
The overall infection rate stands at 13.75 percent.
