Covid-19: 22 people die within a day, 1,537 new cases reported

Dhaka, October 13: Twenty-two more people have died of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours across the country, including in the capital.

Of these, 17 are men and five are women.

All of them died at the hospital.

With this, the number of deaths due to the virus in the country increased to 5,577 people.

In the last 24 hours, 14,021 samples were collected in 109 laboratories to detect coronavirus.

Of these, 13,815 samples were tested.

At this time, another 1,537 new cases of coronavirus have been identified.

As a result, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at 381,875 people.

So far, the total number of sample tests has stood at 2,098,037.

According to an official release 1,482 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of healthy people stood at 295,873 people.

The rate of patient identification compared to the sample test in 24 hours is 11.13 percent and the rate of patient identification compared to the sample test so far is 18.17 percent.

The recovery rate is 77.60 percent and the mortality rate is 1.46 percent compared to the patient identified.

Of the total deaths in Corona so far, 4,292 are males (76.96 per cent) and 1,285 are females (23.04 per cent).

The age-based analysis showed that of the 22 people who died due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, one was in twenties, three in thirties, one in forties, three in fifties and 14 in sixties.

According to the department, 15 of the 22 people killed in Corona in the last 24 hours are in Dhaka division, five in Chittagong and two in Rangpur division.
