Covid-19: 27 die in Khulna division, Rajshahi, Mymensingh account for 17 and 14 deaths within 24 hours

Dhaka, July 2: In the last 24 hours, Khulna, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions have recorded 27, 17 and 14 Covid-19 deaths respectively. Khulna had logged 46 deaths in 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday, Rasheda Sultana, director of the divisional health department, confirmed the information on Friday (July 2).

According to the Divisional Health Director's Office, nine people died in Khulna district, seven in Kushtia district, three each in Jhenaidah and Chuadanga districts, two in Jessore and one each in Bagerhat, Narail and Meherpur districts in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 17 more people died in the last 24 hours in the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital. Of these, 12 died of the disease and five died of symptoms. Director of RMC Hospital, Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, confirmed the matter on Friday (July 2) morning.

He said eight men and seven women were among the dead. Most of the dead were between 35 and 65 years old. Of these, 10 were from Rajshahi district, three from Chapainawabganj district, two from Natore district, one each from Naogaon and Pabna districts.

On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, 14 more people have died in the corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College (MMC) Hospital. Of these, seven died of coronavirus and seven with symptoms, according to Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the Corona Unit of MMC Hospital on Friday (July 2).
