Covid-19: 32 lakh people vaccinated, 754 report AEFI

Dhaka, March 2: The coronavirus vaccination program started nationally on February 7. So far, 32,26,825 people have been vaccinated. Among them, 754 people reported side effects or adverse events following immunization (AEFI). Side effects include mild fever, body aches, sore throat, weakness, swelling or redness at the injection site.

The information was provided in a press release from the Department of Health on Monday.

Out of those vaccinated, 20,81,816 are men and 11,45,009 are women.

The vaccination program, which started on February 7, is being conducted from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm every day except Fridays and nationally declared holidays.

On Monday, 1,16,300 people were vaccinated on Monday. Among them 69,635 are males and 46,665 are females.

Of the total, 9,84,488 people have been vaccinated in Dhaka division. Among them are 6,42,493 men and 3,41,995 women.

In Mymensingh division, 1,39,028 people have been vaccinated, out of which 87,537 are men and 51,491 are women.

In Chittagong division, 7,04,599 people have been vaccinated, out of which 4,58,169 men and 2,46,430 women have been vaccinated.

In Rajshahi division, 3,55,381 people have been vaccinated. Among them are 2,27,272 men and 1,28,109 women.

In Rangpur division, 2,93,426 people have been vaccinated, out of which 1,88,728 are men and 1,04,698 are women.

In Khulna division, 4,00,906 people have been vaccinated. Among them are 2,53,042 men and 1,47,864 women.

In Barisal division, 1,51,931 people have been vaccinated. Among them are 99,795 men and 52,136 women.

In Sylhet division, 1,97,066 people have been vaccinated, out of which 1,24,780 are men and 72,286 are women.
