Covid-19: 39 die within 24 hours as toll touches 3,306
Dhaka, August 6: Authorities in Dhaka have informed that Bangladesh has recorded 39 new Covid-19 deaths within 24 hours, taking the tally to 3,306.
The total number of confirmed cases climbed to 249,651 after 2,977 people tested positive within the same time period.
Meanwhile, 2,074 people recovered between Wednesday and Thursday, according to the daily online bulletin of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
It said that out of the 39 deceased, 30 died in hospitals across the country and the remaining nine people at home.
Among the total number of fatalities, 2,606 men have died, compared to 700 women.
