Covid-19 Covid-19: Another 20 die in a day as death toll touches 5,460
Dhaka, October 8: The deadly novel coronavirus has claimed another 20 lives within 24 hours in Bangladesh, according to an official release.
Among the deceased are 13 men and seven women.
With the lastest fatalities, the death toll touched 5,460.
In between Wednesday and Thursday, 12,572 samples were collected and 12,605 samples were tested in 109 laboratories.
At least 1,441 people tested positive during this period.
The total number of positive cases also touched 374,592.
So far, Bangladesh has tested 2,039,413 samples.
Meanwhile, at least 288,316 people have recovered from the disease after another 1,585 people made full recovery in the last 24 hours.
