COVID-19: Bangladesh registers 36 deaths in past 24 hours

Dhaka: The number of deaths due to the deadly coronavirus (Covid-19) is on the rise again in Bangladesh.

The death toll rose to 56 in the last 24 hours from 36 on Friday. Among the dead were 38 males and 17 females. 36 died at the government hospital, 15 at the private hospital and 5 at home. With this, the number of deaths in Corona has increased to 11 thousand 934 people.

At the same time, 16,065 samples were collected and 16,915 samples were tested in 454 public and private laboratories, the health department said in a statement on coronation. The total number of sample tests stood at 57 lakh 30 thousand 894 people. In the last 24 hours, 1,036 new patients were identified in the sample test. The total number of infected patients is seven lakh 63 thousand 513 people.

In the last 24 hours, the detection rate is 8.19 percent as compared to the sample test. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 13.64 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 3 thousand 329 people have become tax free. So far, a total of 6 lakh 10 thousand 162 people have recovered. The total recovery rate is 91.81 percent. The death rate is one point 54 percent.

Of the 57 dead, one was from zero to twenty, three in thirties, seven in forty, fifteen in fifties and 30 in sixty.
At the same time, according to departmental statistics, out of 57 deaths, 22 died in Dhaka division, 21 in Chittagong, three in Rajshahi, four in Khulna and two in Sylhet.
