Covid-19 claims another 30 lives within 24 hours in Bangladesh

Dhaka, October 6: Thirty more people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country, including the capital. Of these, 20 are men and 10 are women. With this, the number of deaths due to the virus in the country increased to 5,405 people.

The report was confirmed through a press release signed by the Additional Director General of the Department of Health (Administration), Dr. Nasima Sultana on Tuesday (October 6).

In the last 24 hours, 12,398 samples were collected and 12,345 samples were tested in 109 laboratories to detect coronavirus.

At the same time, 1,499 new cases of coronavirus have been identified. As a result, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at 371,631 people.

So far, the total number of sample tests is 2,013,776.

In the last 24 hours, 1,651 people have recovered.

With this, the total number of healthy people stood at 284,833 people.

Compared to the sample test in 24 hours, the patient identification rate is 12.14 percent and so far the patient identification rate is 18.45 percent compared to the sample test.

The recovery rate is 76.64 percent and the mortality rate is 1.45 percent.

Of the total deaths in Corona so far, 4,175 are males (77.24 per cent) and 1,230 are females (22.76 per cent).

Age-based analysis has shown that out of 30 people who died in Corona in the last 24 hours, one in 10s, one in 20s, two in 30s, two in 40s, seven in 50s and 17 in 60s.

According to the department, out of 30 people killed in Corona in the last 24 hours, 19 are in Dhaka division, four in Chittagong, two in Khulna, two in Barisal, one in Sylhet and two in Rangpur.
