Covid-19: Death toll reaches 3,234 as 50 die within 24 hours
Dhaka, August 4: At least 50 people succumbed to the deadly novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh.
The total Covid-19 cases in the Asian country also clocked 244,020 after 1,918 people tested positive in the same time period.
With the 50 deaths, the overall toll has reached 3,234.
Among the deceased were 44 men and six women.
Dhaka division alone accounted for 29 deaths, while five each were reported from Chittagong and Rajshahi.
Khulna and Rangpur had four deaths each and the remaining three were reported from Barisal, Mymensingh and Sylhet.
