Covid-19 death toll touches 5,555 as 31 die within 24 hours

Dhaka, 12 October: Another 31 people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the country. 

Among them 19 are males and 12 are females.

All 31 died at the hospital.

The death toll from the virus rose to five thousand 555 people.

In the last 24 hours, 13,283 samples were collected in 109 laboratories to detect coronavirus.

13,227 have been tested.

At the same time, another 1,472 new cases of coronavirus have been identified.

As a result, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at 379,738 people.

So far, the total number of sample tests is 2,084,222.

According to an official press release, another 1,531 people have recovered.

The total number of healthy patients stood at 294,391 people.

Compared to the sample test in 24 hours, the patient identification rate is 11.013 percent and so far the patient identification rate is 18.22 percent compared to the sample test.

The recovery rate is 77.52 percent and the mortality rate is 1.46 percent compared to the patient identified.

Of the total deaths in Covid-19 so far, 4,275 are men (76.96 percent) and 1,280 are women (23.04 percent).

The age-based analysis showed that of the 31 dead, one was between the ages of zero and 10, one was between the ages of 21 and 30, three were between the ages of 31 and 40, two were in their forties, seven were in their fifties and 17 were in their sixties.

According to the department, out of 31 people killed in Corona in the last 24 hours, 22 are in Dhaka division, four in Chittagong, two in Sylhet, one in Rangpur and two in Mymensingh.
