Covid-19 death toll touches 5,780 as 19 die within 24 hours

Dhaka, 24 October 2020: Bangladesh's Covid-19 death toll stood at 5,780 after 19 more people died in the last 24 hours. Among the deceased are 17 men and two women. All of them died at the hospital.

In the last 24 hours, 10,556 samples were collected and 10,998 samples were tested.

The total number of sample tested so far stood at 22,46,486.

Meanwhile, 1,094 new patients have been identified in the sample test.

With this, the total number of patients infected with coronavirus stood at 3,96,507.

The number of patients who have recovered in the last 24 hours is 1,498.

So far, the total number of patients who have recovered is 3,13,563. Compared to the sample test in 24 hours, the patient identification rate is 9.95 percent and so far the patient identification rate is 17.69 percent compared to the sample test.

The recovery rate is 78.88 percent and the mortality rate is 1.45 percent.

So far, 4,452 males (77.02 percent) and 1,328 females (22.98 percent) have died in Corona.
