Covid-19 kills 31 more within a day; 2,513 new cases registered

Dhaka, December 1: Coronavirus has killed 31 more people across the country in the last 24 hours. Among them 17 are men and 14 are women.

The total number of deaths due to the virus stood at 6,675.

According to an official press release, 15,959 samples were collected and 15,501 samples were tested in 118 laboratories in the last 24 hours. The total number of sample tests stood at 27,88,202.

At this time, another 2,513 new cases of coronavirus have been identified. The total number of identified patients in the country stood at 4,67,225 people.

In the last 24 hours, 2,539 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in different hospitals and homes across the country, including the capital. So far, a total of 3,83,224 people have recovered.

The sample test rate in the last 24 hours is 14.79 percent. So far, the detection rate is 16.76 percent, the recovery rate is 82.02 percent and the mortality rate is 1.43 percent.

The first coronavirus patient was identified in the country on March 8 and the first Covid-19 death was recorded on March 18. Among the deceased, 5,116�(76.64 percent) are males and 1,559�(23.36 percent) are females.

Among the death in the last 24 hours 23 were in Dhaka division, five in Chittagong, one in Rajshahi, one in Sylhet and one in Mymensingh division.
