Dhaka, September 7: The second dose for those who have taken the first one under the mass vaccination drive will start Tuesday (September 7). This activity will continue for the next two days- September 8 and 9.

On Monday afternoon (September 6), a video conference was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Kaikaus with the aim of giving a second dose under the Covid-19 mass vaccination program.

As per the decision of the meeting, the second dose of Covid-19 mass vaccination program is being started across the country from today. Those who received the first dose on August 6 and 7 in all city corporation areas will receive the second dose on September 7 at the same center. Similarly, those who received the vaccine on August 9 and 10 will receive the second dose on September 8 and those who received the vaccine on August 11 and 12 will receive the second dose on September 9 at the same center.

In areas outside the City Corporation, everyone who received the first dose on August 7 will receive the second dose on September 7 at the same center.

City Corporation Mayor, Chief Coordinator (SDG Affairs), Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department, Senior Secretary of Public Security Department, Senior Secretary of Local Government Department, Senior Secretary of Health Services Department, Director General of Health Department, Divisional Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Concerned government officials at the field level including Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeon were involved.
