COVID-19: Nearly 2 lakh people take vaccines

Dhaka, February 14, 2021: One lakh 94 thousand 371 people were vaccinated on Saturday (February 13) under the ongoing corona vaccination program in the capital and across the country.

Among them one lakh 26 thousand 43 men and 6 thousand 328 women. So far, a total of seven lakh 37 thousand 60 people have been vaccinated in the country. Among them five lakh 13 thousand 721 males and two lakh 23 thousand 59 females.

Meanwhile, a total of 394 people, including 31 in the last 24 hours after receiving the vaccine, reported symptoms of adverse reactions.

On January 26, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the corona vaccination program invented by Oxford-Estrogen Generator at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital. The next day (January 26), 541 people were vaccinated at five government hospitals in the capital - Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Kuwait-Maitri Hospital, Mugda General Hospital and BSMMU.

According to the departmental statistics, one lakh 94 thousand 57 people have been vaccinated in Dhaka division, 33 thousand 917 people in Mymensingh division, one lakh 8 thousand 512 people in Chittagong division, 65 thousand 736 people in Rajshahi division and 69 thousand 996 people in Rangpur division.
