COVID-19 registers four fresh deaths

Dhaka, 24 July 2022 : Four people died in 24 hours from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am across the country due to coronavirus.

With this, the number of deaths due to Corona in the country has increased to 29 thousand 266 people. At the same time, 430 new people were diagnosed with corona. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of identified patients has increased to 2 million 1 thousand 775.

This information was informed in the regular press release on the corona issue sent by the Department of Health on Sunday (July 24). In the previous 24 hours, 4 people died due to Corona.

According to the notification, 6105 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday. A total of 1 crore 45 lakh 55 thousand 972 samples have been tested in the country since the beginning of the epidemic. The detection rate against sample testing in 24 hours is 7.04 percent. So far the total detection rate is 13.75 percent.

Meanwhile, 1,270 people have recovered from Corona in one day. With this, a total of 19 lakh 35 thousand 963 people have recovered in the country. On March 8, 2020, the first case of coronavirus was detected in the country. After 10 days on March 18, the first death of a patient due to Corona was reported by the Health Department.
