Covid-19: Seven die in 24 hours, 3,447 test positive

Dhaka, January 15: Seven people succumbed to the deadly coronavirus across bangladesdh in the last 24 hours- between Friday and Saturday. During this time, 3,447 people tested positive for the disease.

The death toll in the country has increased to 28,136. Among the seven deceased were four men and three women. Four of them died at government hospitals, while three at private facilities.

The infection rate was 14.35 percent.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 24,028 samples were tested. A total of 1,18,32,120 samples have been tested in the country so far.

Meanwhile, 294 people recovered in the aforementioned 24 hours. So far, 15,52,600 people have recovered in Bangladesh.

Among the deceased, four were from Dhaka division, two from Sylhet division and one from Barisal division.
