Covid curbs extended till February 21

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 3:�The ongoing restrictions to curb the spread of Coronavirus have been extended till February 21.

On Thursday (February 3), the Cabinet Division�issued a notification, extending the ongoing Covid restrictions.

According to the notification, considering the rising cases of Covid-19 and its new variant Omicron in Bangladesh, two conditions have been amended in the ongoing restrictions imposed on the overall functions / movement. These restrictions will be in force from February 7 till 12 midnight on February 21.

Those two conditions are -

1. Not more than 100 people can gather in open space or indoor venue for social / political / religious / state functions. Those who will join in these events must bring their Covid Vaccination Certificate or PCR negative test report conducted within 24 hours.

2. Offline classes in all schools, colleges and other educational institutions will be closed.
