Coronavirus Covid: One death, 438 new cases across Bangladesh on Thursday
Dhaka, September 15: One person died of corona in the country in 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday, while 438 people tested positive for the disease. Earlier on Wednesday, 402 people were identified. So far 29,337 people have died and 20,16,583 people have been infected across Bangladesh.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the daily detection rate was 8.90 percent.
Besides, 303 people have recovered in 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday. So far, 19,59,787 people have recovered from the disease, in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, 4,926 samples have been collected and 4,920 samples were tested, including with antigen tests, in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 1,48,13,238 samples have been tested in the country.
The overall detection rate stands at 13.61 percent, the recovery rate at 97.18 percent and mortality rate at 1.46 percent.
The deceased has been identified as a female resident of Dhaka.
