Covid19: Virus claims 23 more lives within 24 hours

Dhaka, October 17: Coronavirus has infected 23 more people across the country in the past 24 hours.

Of these, 18 are males and five are females.

Everyone died at the hospital.

With this, the total number of deaths due to the virus increased to 5,646.

In the last 24 hours, 11,012 samples were collected and 11,573 tests were carried out in 110 laboratories to detect coronavirus.

The total number of sample tests is 2,151,702.

Another 1,209 new patients have been identified in the sample test.

As a result, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at 387,295.

According to an official press release, 1,560 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of recovery stood at 302,298.

The rate of patient identification compared to the sample test in 24 hours is 10.45 percent and the rate of patient identification compared to the sample test so far is 18 percent.

The recovery rate is 78.05 percent and the mortality rate is 1.46 percent compared to the patient identified.

Of the total deaths in coronavirus so far, 4,345 are men (76.96 percent) and 1,301 are women (23.04 percent).

According to the department, out of 23 people killed in Corona in the last 24 hours, 14 are in Dhaka division, four in Chittagong, one in Khulna, two in Barisal and two in Rangpur.
