Marine Beach Cox's Bazar's marine beach to be modelled after Thailand-Indonesia
Dhaka, July 22: The government has taken initiative to formulate a master plan to make Cox's Bazar up-to-date and tourist-friendly. Cox's Bazar is the longest beach in the world. This 120 km long, sand-rich beach is at the top of the interest of domestic and foreign tourists.
Not only Cox's Bazar, it is surrounded by the beautiful St. Martin's Chhera Island, Shahparir Island, Maheshkhali, Kutubdia, Sonadia and many other unknown islands. The government has taken initiative to formulate a master plan to make Cox's Bazar, the hub of the tourism sector, up-to-date and tourist-friendly.
Marine Beach will be built under the master plan. According to the Cox's Bazar Development Authority, one of the reasons for attracting domestic and foreign tourists here is the maritime climate. To enrich it, modern, technological and international standard marine beaches in the style of India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia will be created through public-private initiatives. Besides, an aquarium will be built next to the beach. Different species of marine animals will be preserved there. There will also be a laboratory.
To build Cox's Bazar in a new form, the government has formed 'Cox's Bazar Development Authority', whose plan is to build Cox's Bazar, the world's longest beach, as a modern and international exclusive tourist spot. To that end, work is underway to formulate a master plan.
