Bank Robbery DBBL robbery: Tk 2 crore 53 lakh more recovered, 8 arrested
Dhaka, March 13: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Intelligence Department has arrested eight persons involved in the robbery of Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL)'s Tk 11 crore. At this time Tk two crore 53 lakh 98 thousand 500 was recovered from them. Out of the Tk 11 crore looted, a total of Tk 6 crore 43 lakh 48 thousand 500 has been recovered.
Additional Commissioner of Police, Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid, Head of the Intelligence Department of DMP, said these at a press conference organized at DMP Media Center on Sunday.
He said that the money was recovered by raiding various places including Mirpur, Banani, and Sunamganj in the capital. So far, eight people have been arrested in connection with this incident.

The arrested are — Md. Sanwar Hasan (28), Md. Imon alias Milan (33), Md. Akash Madbar (25), Sagar Madbar (22), Md. Badrul Alam (33), Md. Mizanur Rahman (20), Md. Sanai Mia (28), and Enamul Haque Badsha (26).
Last Thursday morning, Tk 11 crore 25 lakh was stolen from the vehicle of Money Plant Link Private Limited, which was carrying Dutch-Bangla Bank's money, on Diabari road number 11 under Turag police station. Within a few hours of the incident, Tk 3 crore 89 lakh was recovered out of Tk 11 crore looted from Uttara area.
