"I consider this visit to be the most appropriate, as my first visit to Bangladesh is taking place in this special year, when we are jointly celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence and the establishment of our diplomatic relations. I pay tribute to the great sacrifice of the people of Bangladesh in achieving independence from dictatorship. We congratulate you on your unwavering courage in fighting the terrible adversity and standing up against injustice."
