Defeated forces of 71 not completely eradicated: DMP Commissioner
Dhaka, December 6: DMP Commissioner Khandkar Ghulam Farooq said that the defeated power of 1971 was not eliminated from Bangladesh at once. They sometimes try to commit crimes in the name of militancy. But they cannot commit crimes because of the activity of the people and the police force.
He said these things in a coordination meeting regarding security and traffic management at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) headquarters on Sunday (December 4) on the occasion of Martyr Intellectuals Day and Great Victory Day.
DMP Commissioner said, we will all perform all security duties properly on the occasion of various national programs especially Martyr Intellectuals Day and Great Victory Day in December.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) AKM Hafiz Akhtar, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md Munibur Rahman, Additional Police Commissioner (CTTC) Md Asaduzzaman, Additional Police Commissioner (Detective) Mohammad Haroon Or Rasheed, Additional Commissioner of Police (Logistics, Finance and Procurement) Dr. K Mahid Uddin.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of various units of DMP and Bangladesh Police, intelligence agencies, Dhaka North City Corporation, Fire Service, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Culture and various service institutions of the government.
