Dengue Dengue claims three more, 515 hospitalised
Dhaka, November 23: Three more people died of dengue fever in the 24 hours from 8 am on Monday to 8 am on Tuesday. With this, the number of deaths in the country increased to 237 this year.
At the same time, another 515 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. The number of patients admitted in public and private hospitals of the country including new patients is 2,231.
It is said that 266 of the 515 people admitted to the hospital with dengue from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am are residents of Dhaka and 349 are outside Dhaka.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 53,928 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue from January 1 to November 22 this year. Out of this, 51,460 people have recovered and got discharge from the hospital.
The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year.
