Dengue kills seven, over 1000 new cases detected

Dhaka, July 11: A record seven people died of dengue from 8 am on Monday to 8 am on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 1,054 people were admitted to the hospital at the same time. Among the infected, 628 people have been admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 426 people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday. It is said in the notification that currently a total of 3,303 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 2,306 dengue patients admitted in 53 public and private hospitals of Dhaka and 997 dengue patients in various hospitals of other departments.

This year, 14,897 patients have been admitted to hospital and received treatment due to dengue. Among them, 10,292 people received treatment in Dhaka and 4,605 people outside Dhaka.

A total of 11,511 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. Among them are 7,921 in Dhaka and 3,590 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home. This year, 83 people have died due to dengue so far (July 11).
