Development activities are being implemented for the welfare of the religious community

Dhaka, January 18: State Minister for Religion and Chairman of the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust Md. Faridul Haque Khan MP said the overall development of the country is not possible if any community is left behind. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, adequate development activities are being implemented for the welfare of all religious communities with the aim of establishing a developed Bangladesh.

He was speaking at the 90th board meeting of the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust held at his office in the Ministry of Religious Affairs at 11am on Sunday (January 18th).

The state minister said Bangabandhu has laid the foundation stone for building a non-communal Bangladesh by adding the principle of secularism to the constitution of Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu's worthy daughter, Bangladesh has now been established as an ideal country for communal harmony.

The State Minister further said, "We are determined to build Bangladesh as a civilized country through the provision of welfare and security to the minority religious communities of Bangladesh." To that end, everyone must work in unison.

At the meeting, it was decided to distribute the grants given by the Prime Minister on the occasion of Prabarana Purnima and Kathin Chibardan in a timely manner. At the meeting, it was decided to build a public Buddhist crematorium in Dhaka, increase the trust fund, and provide two houses on behalf of the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust in the shelter project on the occasion of 'Mujib Centenary'.
