Dhaka, July 25, 2021: The number of patients admitted to various hospitals in Dhaka city has crossed 100 in the last 24 hours due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever.

A total of 104 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the capital at that time. This is the highest number of hospital admissions in a single day this year. At present, the total number of patients admitted in government, private and autonomous hospitals stands at 422. Among them, 319 patients have been admitted to hospitals in the capital and three outside Dhaka.

On Saturday (July 24), the Assistant Director of the Health Information Unit (MIS) of the Department of Health and the officer in charge of the Health Emergency Operations and Control Room, Dr. This information has been revealed in the report on dengue signed by Kamrul Kibria.

Of the 104 patients admitted in the last 24 hours, 31 are admitted in government and autonomous hospitals and 63 in private hospitals. Among the government and autonomous hospitals, 21 are at Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital, five at Dhaka Children's Hospital and nine at the Combined Military Hospital.

Besides, out of the total 73 people admitted in different private hospitals and clinics in the capital, seven are in Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital, one in Ibn Sina Hospital Dhanmondi, eight in Square Hospital, nine in Central Hospital Dhanmondi, three in Green Life Hospital and three in Islamic Hospital Central Kakrail. Six, one at Sirajul Islam Medical College Hospital, six at Evercare Hospital, 18 at Ad-Din Medical College Hospital, one at Universal Medical College and Hospital, one at BRB Hospitals Limited, two at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital, two at Uttara Adhunik Medical College Hospital and two at Salauddin Hospital. Three were admitted to Popular Medical College Hospital and one to Uttara Crescent Hospital.

According to the statistics, a total of 1,574 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, including the capital, from January 1 to Saturday, July 24 this year. Of them, 1,149 have returned home healthy.

This year 32 patients were admitted in January, 9 in February, 13 in March, three in April, 43 in May, 272 in June and 1,202 till July 24.
