Dhaka to experience rains for three days

Dhaka, June 22: It rained in Dhaka on Tuesday morning for nearly two hours. The meteorological department said that this trend of rain is likely to continue for the next three days.

The meteorological department has forecast light to moderate rain / thundershowers with temporary gusts in some parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions till 6 pm on Tuesday (June 22). At the same time, there may be scattered moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country.

The extension of the monsoon axis extends from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of this is located in the North Bay. The monsoon is moderately active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was 97 mm in Hatia. Besides, 74 mm of rain fell in Sandwip, 81 mm in Sitakunda, 30 mm in Chittagong, 34 mm in Cox's Bazar, 35 mm in Kutubdia and 33 mm in Bogra. It rained in all divisions of the country. This trend of rainfall may continue for the next three days.
