Dhaka, June 17: Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen has said that he will discuss all unresolved issues including water sharing and border management at the meeting of Joint Consultation Commission (JCC) to be held between Bangladesh and India on June 19 in New Delhi.

"As a neighboring country, we have always had unresolved issues with India ... we will discuss all these issues," the minister told reporters after attending a function at a hotel in the capital on Thursday.

Dr. Momen will hold the 7th Foreign Minister level JCC meeting between Bangladesh and India in New Delhi with Indian Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar.

The foreign minister said the JCC meeting would discuss water sharing in various transboundary rivers, including Kushiyara and Feni. He said anti-dumping of jute and fuel security would be discussed as new issues.

The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh thanked India for taking concerted action to prevent any tension or instability between the people of the two countries.

Dr Momen said India has already allowed wheat exports to Bangladesh through the private sector. The sixth JCC meeting was held on 29 September 2020 (virtually) in Dhaka.
