Dhaka, 10 June 2023 : Awami League has no idea of dialogue with BNP for now. But the lamp of hope for dialogue is still not lit.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said this in response to a question from journalists after the meeting of the nomination board of Awami League at 10 pm on Friday (June 9).

He said, "The lamp of hope never goes out. But today you are telling us about dialogue with the government party. We are not thinking about this for now. As I said yesterday, we have no idea about dialogue at the moment. I can talk about the future in the future. Not at this moment."

Quader said, "They (BNP) keep saying the same thing. They said the same thing again and again in the last election. Elections were not muddied. I don't know what will happen now. Apart from the elections, they may wish to engage in incendiary activities, disrupting the elections. However, they themselves have fallen into the trap of visa policy while bringing bans for Awami League. These fires to get a visa fall under the rules of terrorism, obstructing elections, creating chaos. Their mouths went dry after hearing this. Although not saying in the mouth."

General Secretary of Awami League said, "BNP is maintaining a negative attitude among them. The negatives they are bringing up are the caretaker government, the dissolution of parliament and the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Without these three, they will not come to the election. We are saying - what are the reasons for these three issues? Why will the government resign? Why will the Prime Minister resign? Why caretaker government?"

Quader said, "They repeatedly say that the Awami League left the caretaker government. The High Court gave it, not the Awami League. That caretaker government is a dead issue. Why revive it? We don't need it. If there is an election in other countries of the world without supervisors, why will it not happen in Bangladesh? We have a constitution.

He also said, 'And why will the Prime Minister resign? Members of Parliament do not want him? If he loses his majority in parliament, he can resign. There is no other reason.
