Dhaka, December 4, 2022: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that BNP has threatened to bring down the government by bringing Dhaka city to a standstill on December 10.

Now DMP Commissioner is responsible for keeping Dhaka liveable for two crore people.

He said these things in response to reporters' questions about BNP's general meeting after inaugurating the newly constructed building of Shaistaganj police station in Habiganj on Saturday (December 3).

The Home Minister said that they will gather lakhs of people in BNP's grand meeting on December 10. Dhaka will be immobilized. The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul threatened to demand the fall of the government that day. That's why I hear that they will stay in their office with rice and pulses.

He said BMP is a party that came to power through the barrel of a gun. That is why they think of various kinds of schemes and conspiracies. Which Awami League never thinks about. Awami League has always come to power with the people's mandate. Keeping stock of rice and pulses is also an indication. We are looking into the matter.

Regarding the venue of the Mahasambesh, the Home Minister said that the Hon'ble Prime Minister has vacated Suhrawardy Udyan by bringing forward the Chhatra League program for BNP. So, on the whole, Police Commissioner Suhrawardy has given permission for the assembly in Udyan. But if the rally is held in Nayapaltan instead of Suhrawardy Udyan, the police commissioner will do what is best for maintaining law and order in Dhaka.

At this time, Civil Aviation and Tourism State Minister Advocate Mahbub Ali, District Awami League President Advocate Md. Abu Zahir, Member of Parliament Advocate Abdul Majeed Khan, Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Jahan, Superintendent of Police SM Murad Ali and others were present.
