Coronavirus DNCC Mayor Atiq infected with coronavirus for third time
Dhaka, October 4: The Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Md. Atiqul Islam has been infected with coronavirus for the third time. He is receiving treatment from home for cough and physical weakness.
Dhaka North City Corporation Public Relations Officer Maqbool Hossain confirmed the matter to Jago News on Tuesday (October 4) afternoon.
He said, due to body fever, the test was done on Monday (October 3) and the corona positive report came. After that he is receiving treatment from home. But currently there are no symptoms other than mild cough and physical weakness.
The DNCC Mayor sought prayers from the countrymen for the relief of his sudden illness and requested everyone to follow proper hygiene rules including wearing masks properly and be aware.
Mayor Md. Atiqul Islam was infected with Corona for the first time in the family in the beginning of 2020. Later on February 1, 2022, he was again infected with corona for the second time in his family.
